When we share our stories with others, we help them understand what God is like and what He can do. Meet the Team
Dave and Billie Jauss
Dave and Billie help men and women create a firm foundation of love, service, and generosity while realizing opportunities to impact the lives of those around them, wherever God places them.
Dave is currently a Senior Advisor for the Washington Nationals. He is originally from Chicago, IL, and attended Amherst College, where he played Varsity baseball and basketball.
Dave began his baseball-coaching career after college in New Brunswick, Canada, managing a Canadian Professional Baseball team in Woodstock. He returned to Amherst to coach baseball and basketball while receiving his Masters in Sports Management from UMass Amherst.
Following seven years of college coaching at Westfield State University in Westfield, MA, and Atlantic Christian College in Wilson, NC, Dave landed his first professional baseball job as Rookie Ball Manager for the Montreal Expos.
He has worked in Major League Baseball for over 36 seasons with the Montreal Expos, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, the New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates, NY Yankees, and the Washington Nationals. He has also coached in Venezuela and managed in the Dominican Republic.
Dave was an advanced scout with the Boston Red Sox when they won the 2004 World Series. He also threw to Pete Alonso in 2021 to win the Home Run Derby.
Billie Jauss is an international speaker, author, and podcast host with over 35 years of experience navigating life as the wife of an MLB coach.
As the author of the books “Making Room,” “Distraction Detox,” and the upcoming “Baseball Family,” Billie shares lessons and insights from her unique lifestyle that help women navigate life’s obstacles. Her podcast “The Family Room with Billie Jauss” discusses life, parenting, and navigating professional life while raising a family.
Billie has been featured on numerous media outlets, including Yahoo Sports, The Shawn Bolz Show, the 700 Club, 100 Huntley Street, and a wide variety of large-audience podcasts. She is a representative of Compassion International and a sought-after speaker covering topics like parenting, marriage, leadership, overcoming hardships, and supporting a spouse in the spotlight.
Dave and Billie have lived in 14 cities in 3 countries with their three sons, DJ, Charley, and Will, who all work in baseball. In the off-season, Dave and Billie live in Southwest Florida, far away from snow and cold.
